Testimonies from Missouri - Hezekiah's Tunnel

Continuing our series of testimonies from Missouri, here's Terri L's.

What a wonderful time we had, experiencing all the sights, sounds, smells and emotions we could possibly squeeze into 14 days. One of my favorite times in the Holy Land is always the boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where I enjoy watching everyone soak in the reality of where they are.

Another highlight of this trip was the day in Tiberias when a few of us got up REALLY early and walked the short distance to the shoreline. We were truly blessed by the beauty of the sunrise over the Sea of Galilee that morning.

And then, there was Hezekiah’s Tunnel! Our small band of brave souls, armed with small flashlights, waded through water the entire length of that narrow, dark tunnel. I remember how we all celebrated our victory when we emerged at the Pool of Siloam!

There are so many wonderful memories from all of our Holy Land trips, but I must say that this trip was by far my favorite. . . partly because we had such a terrific guide, but for me personally, it was because I was able to share it with so many of my friends. That is my most precious memory from this trip.
